NCC ask that everyone send through their medium term and annual works program for the next 6 months along with details longer term. This information is collated and provides the foundation for the meeting discussions. We require this information to be submitted 10 working days prior to the meeting in order that any potential conflicts can be identified.
The agenda and potential collaboration list is sent out 1 full week prior to the meeting with a request that all relevant information and plans are brought to the meeting for discussion on the day.
At the meeting we also discuss:
- Planned events within the city- parades, festivals
- Locations where works have been completed
- Development schemes planned for the city
- Traffic management concerns on works
We encourage all relevant organisations to attend as this is the opportunity to discuss and evaluate the impact of future works
Bus Operators Meetings are bi-monthly, on the last Wednesday of the month. The main meeting normally lasts an hour, but we have 3x20 minute presentation slots, after the main meeting. These are primarily used by NCC Officers to provide details to the bus operators on upcoming schemes, and works updates where works will impact on the bus services. On the whole these slots are supported by the operators as it gives them an early opportunity to comment on forthcoming works. This allows preparation for their on-board / bus stop notices to advise their customers and drivers of the suspended stops and diversions.
