When you foster a child for us you will receive a package of support and allowances to help you care for each child placed with you. The package is related to each child and increases as the child gets older and annually in line with inflation.

Fostering under Newcastle (FUN)

Fostering under Newcastle (FUN) is a support group run by a team of experienced foster carers. They help, support and advise foster carers on all issues surrounding fostering. FUN has an excellent working relationship with Newcastle City Council’s Children's Services Directorate and acts on behalf of foster carers in individual situations. It also deals with other issues including education, finance, placements and fund raising.

Membership of FUN costs £10 per household per year.
