School class visits and author events

Class Visits

Class visits to a library can be arranged with any Newcastle Library.  We have a range of options to promote reading for pleasure amongst your students, such as story times, library activities or an opportunity to borrow books. These can be regular events or one-off sessions. Please email us at library.childrens@newcastle.gov.uk if you would like to arrange a class visits. 

Alternatively, you can invite a librarian along to attend your school assembly to let children know what's happening in our libraries.

Author Events

If you would like an author, poet or illustrator to visit your school, but you don't know who to book or how to go about it, Newcastle Libraries can offer you advice - email us at library.childrens@newcastle.gov.uk.
