Being activeIt's never too early or too late to think about healthy lifestyles.

There's a range of activities and support available to help residents get fitter and healthier.

Active Newcastle - more people, more active, more often

Active Newcastle - part of Newcastle City Council - delivers a range of sport, health intervention and physical activities for Newcastle residents.

Our Sports Health and Fitness team offers three key health programmes, On the Go, Why Weight and LiveWell. Run by highly qualified and experienced staff with a sports background, the team helps our residents become more active in a safe and friendly environment.

On the Go

On The Go is our healthy lifestyle programme for five to 16 year olds and their families. It's all about getting families more active and choosing healthier options when it comes to mealtimes. All the sessions are designed to be fun and take place in handy local venues across Newcastle. Find out more (link to Active Newcastle's On the Go page -
