Business Rates - How to pay your business rates bill

You can pay your bill by a number of methods:

Direct Debit       

Direct Debit is the easiest and most convenient way to pay and you have all the control. Please note our phonelines are currently closed, please email business.rates@newcastle.gov.uk with your enquiry and we will respond as soon as possible. To assist us to allocate your payment and avoid the possibility of a reminder, please quote your full Business rates reference number, which can be found on the top left of your bill.  It begins with 69 or 70.

You must quote all 10 digits when making payment.  Please note the last two digits represent the financial year so these will change for each new financial year.

Standing order

You can set up a standing order with your bank.  They will give you a form to fill in indicating the amount to be paid each month.
