Specialist Housing Delivery Plan

Specialist Housing Delivery Plan

This Specialist Housing Delivery Plan sets out how we will achieve Newcastle's vision of increasing personal choice, and securing opportunities to maintain independence through offering a home that fits with current and changing needs.

Its primary concern is to bring into one place a schedule of new homes to be delivered to meet specific needs, and actions around helping people maintain their independence. Taking the above into account, this plan concerns itself with assisting adults within their home environment and independence for the following groups:
•Older people
•People with a learning disability and/or Autism
•People with a mental health condition
•People with a physical disability.

To deliver this plan, the Fairer Housing Unit and the People Directorate will lead the work, but will also work co-operatively with a range of partners to make housing choice a reality for all in Newcastle.
