We currently have a number of vacancies for Health and Social Care Officers within Newcastle City Council’s Care Services teams, the posts will be based in our short-term residential resource centres for older people.

These posts involve working on the front-line providing care and support to some of the most vulnerable adults in the city. We are looking for applicants with a flexible approach who are committed to making a real difference to people’s lives.

Our staff work closely with health colleagues and must be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting independence, health, wellbeing and choice to those who use our services. Maintaining the dignity of service users must be a priority at all times and successful applicants must be able to deliver personal care with great sensitivity.

Being able to work shifts and unsociable hours (including weekends) is essential for all posts.
