Part time

£24,294 - £25,119 per annum, pro rata (actual £16,414 - £16,972 per annum) plus evening and weekend enhancements

14 posts at 25hrs per week Salary breakdown (example) Full time: £24,294 per annum salary (£2,041 per month) *15% = £3,644 enhancement per annum (approx. £303.66 per month) Pro-rata (25hrs): £16,414 per annum salary (£1,367 per month) *15% = £2,462 enhancement per annum (approx. £205 per month)

Health & Social Care Officers play a vital role by supporting people in their own homes across the City of Newcastle to improve their quality of life. People want to remain as independent in their own home for as long as possible and our Community Reablement Service is here to support them do that.

This is a highly personalised service which enables people to do things for themselves. These posts do not require specific experience or professional qualifications. What they really need is your caring approach, your patience, and your commitment to making a real difference to people’s lives.

Once in post we would support you through a 3-month comprehensive induction and training program, learning all aspects of the role alongside our experienced colleagues.

Maintaining the dignity of people must be always a priority and successful applicants must be able to deliver care and support with great sensitivity whilst demonstrating a strong commitment to promoting independence.

Being able to work shifts, weekends and split shifts on a rota basis is essential, see attached work rota. You will be provided with a uniform and work phone.
