Newcastle City Learning is seeking to recruit a sessional Learner support assistant to support us with the delivery of a range of vocational programmes, Functional Skills and Study Programmes to learners with learning difficulties/disabilities.

We require someone who is approachable, adaptable and proactive.

LSA’s will need to be flexible as they will be required to work across a number of locations.

We expect all staff to work to the “Newcastle City Learning Way” which sets out service expectations and standards. We expect and support staff to set consistently high aspirations for, and expectations of, themselves and learners.

It is expected all staff will embed wider skills including English, maths, ICT and digital skills, British Values, Safeguarding and PREVENT, equality and diversity to ensure that learners maximise their understanding and application within their working and personal lives.

Use of own vehicle, current valid driving license, or access to mobility transport and a willingness to travel are an advantage for this role. Please note teaching qualifications are also an essential requirement for this role.
