Prosper Learning Trust are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and highly motivated professional to the post of Office Manager, to the busy office at Newcastle Bridges School (based at the Kenton site), commencing on 17th April 2023.

Newcastle Bridges School provides excellent educational opportunities to pupils whose education has been interrupted by mental or physical ill-health or school phobia. We seek to support each pupil’s access to a full-time, broad and balanced education appropriate to their potential and their educational needs and encourage reintegration into mainstream whenever relevant. Newcastle Bridges School was judged by Ofsted to be ‘outstanding’ (May 2022).

The school is multi-site, and includes providing education into five NHS provisions. The successful candidate will act as line manager for the administrative staff across all provisions of the school. The school office is open from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm and the successful candidate will be expected to ensure the office is covered across these times.

The successful candidate will be an experienced administrator who is proactive and highly organised in their work. For this post excellent inter-personal skills are essential, with the ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively including supporting others within the team. The ideal candidate will be expected to organise and supervise the administrative systems within the school and contribute to the planning, development and monitoring of support services.

The successful candidate will:

• Be expected to demonstrate flexibility and be available to work additional hours to accommodate occasional evening and special events e.g. CPD sessions, meetings

• Be creative and able to problem solve

• Be able to plan for and implement new initiatives

• Have proven skills at managing systems

• Be experienced in school administration and resource management

• Have the ability to manage their time effectively, use initiative and be professional with a flexible attitude

Prosper Learning Trust was established in January 2018 with Newcastle Bridges School and Mary Astell Academy. Thomas Bewick School joined the Trust in April 2019, Harry Watts Academy in September 2020 and Gilbert Ward Academy will open in September 2023. We are striving to build further collaboration across the academies and grow as a multi-academy trust, whilst continuing to strengthen our relationships with schools outside the MAT for the benefit of our pupils.
