Facility Services to Schools

An opportunity exists for 2 suitable individuals to work within the Facility Services Division as Relief Facility Supervisors.

Typical duties will encompass responsibility for the security of the premises, the setting of alarms, operation of heating and lighting plant as well as a range of general and porterage duties.

There will also be responsibility for the supervision of cleaning staff and the cleaning of a defined area within the school.

It is essential that you are capable of regular stooping, bending, lifting and carrying of equipment, materials and furniture and be able to climb ladders.

Experience within cleaning, DIY and caretaking would be an advantage. You should be reliable and have a strong commitment to high standards of service and customer care.

You will be required to work on a split shift basis Monday to Friday. These hours will need to be flexible to meet the needs of the service.

We are committed to protecting and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. This post is working in regulated activity. If you are successful we will undertake additional recruitment checks which will include a check to see if you have had any criminal convictions, a check of police information and we will check the barred list(s). It is a criminal offence for a barred individual to apply for a job in regulated activity.

Apply online at www.northeastjobs.org.uk.

As this post involves working with children, vulnerable adults or dealing with sensitive information, written references will be taken up and made available to interviewers before the final selection stage; even if you indicate otherwise.
