We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Technical Officer with the necessary training and experience to work in our Public Protection and Neighbourhoods Team.

This is an exciting time to join the team as we prepare for a new Additional and Selective licensing scheme which is due to commence April 2020. We also have a number of proactive short-term enforcement projects which we will expect the successful candidate to support.

The team deals with a wide range of housing related issues including housing standards, noise and anti-social behaviour, public health nuisances and landlord licensing to improve conditions in the private housing sector.

It is essential to have a good understanding of the regulatory framework, guidance and good practice in relation to the Housing Act and in particular HMO licensing.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required with proven ability to deliver services.
