An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Care Assessment officer to work within our well-established Adult Community Teams, which deliver services to achieve the best outcomes for adults and older people who have care and support needs.
We work with a variety of people over the age of 18 who have the need for social care intervention. We are looking for a highly motivated, Social Care Assessment Officer to join our expanding Adult Community Teams. We are proud and committed to working alongside people and their carers, to enable them to lead more independent and fulfilling lives, as part of their local communities.
The successful applicant will be expected to work within a busy duty team. You will be expected to carry out assessments, reviews and respond to safeguarding concerns, and respond to requests on duty.
We are committed to protecting and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. This post is working in regulated activity. If you are successful, we will undertake additional recruitment checks which will include a check to see if you have had any criminal convictions, a check of police information and we will check the barred list(s). It is a criminal offence for a barred individual to apply for a job in regulated activity.
As this post involves working with children, vulnerable adults or dealing with sensitive information, written references will be taken up and made available to interviewers before the final selection stage; even if you indicate otherwise.
You will receive:
• A dedicated 10-day induction
• Options for flexible and hybrid working
• Generous annual leave in addition to bank holidays with the ability to buy additional leave
• Access to online social work resources
• Access to mindfulness sessions and other wellbeing initiatives including a well-being telephone line
