An exciting opportunity has arisen for qualified Social Workers to work as part of a mental health social work team, providing services to individuals who experience mental illness and may have complex, multiple needs. This is a friendly and supportive team committed to person centred practice which helps promote independence, wellbeing and choice.

You will have a varied caseload that will include safeguarding work and involvement with service users and carers with complex needs. You will be required to complete assessments, and care planning and work closely with mental health colleagues within a multi-disciplinary framework to deliver good quality care.

The applicants must have a relevant Social Work qualification such as a Degree in Social Work, Dip SW, CQSW, or CSS, or equivalent and current HCPC registration.

Professional support, supervision and appraisal will be provided by the Team Manager.

We are committed to protecting and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. This post is working in regulated activity. If you are successful we will undertake additional recruitment checks which will include a check to see if you have had any criminal convictions, a check of police information and we will check the barred list(s). It is a criminal offence for a barred individual to apply for a job in regulated activity.

As this post involves working with children, vulnerable adults or dealing with sensitive information, written references will be taken up and made available to interviewers before the final selection stage, even if you indicate otherwise.
