Fixed term for 1 year

The Governors of Archbishop Runcie Church of England VA First School wish to appoint two support assistants, fixed-term for 1 year initially, from 4 November or as soon as possible after this date.

It is an exciting opportunity to work as part of our school team to further advance our rapidly improving school. It will be an opportunity to play a full part in the continued development of our vision for all our children to become confident, secure, caring individuals who flourish through our creative and engaging curriculum. A willingness to cover Breakfast Club from 7:45am, when needed, would be an advantage.

We are a welcoming Church of England school with happy, well behaved and highly motivated children. We have high expectations of ourselves and the children. Parents are highly supportive of the school. This post is suitable for a very experienced Teaching Assistant with a good level of qualification.

This post is 32.5 hours per week (term time only), 8:30am-3:30pm Monday-Friday plus 3 training days.

The successful candidates will:

* have experience of teaching in EYFS

* be innovative, creative and imaginative

* have a passion for creating an exciting learning environment

* have successful, recent experience of supporting teaching and assessing learning

* work positively with parents and families

* be willing to participate in all aspects of school life

* have high expectations of children's achievements and behaviour

* be flexible and work collaboratively and successfully as team members.

Application forms are available on the school website www.archbishop-runcie.eschools.co.uk/website and returnable in hard paper copy only, to Mrs K Massey by 12noon on Friday 18 October. No CVs please.

Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to undertake an observed task and a formal interview on Thursday 24 October.

At Archbishop Runcie CE First School, we are committed to the safeguarding and welfare of young people. All posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check. We welcome applications from all sections of the community, regardless of gender, race, religion, disability, sexual orientation or age.
