St Cuthbert’s Catholic High School is seeking to appoint an outstanding Physical Education teacher. Our extremely successful PE department aims to equip our pupils and students with the knowledge, skills and understanding to develop a love of physical activity.
We deliver a broad, balanced, progressive, differentiated, and relevant curriculum which focuses on the importance of following a healthy lifestyle, all of which is underpinned by excellent teaching. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop within an established and supportive team of colleagues.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about PE and Sport and how this can be taught in an inspiring way to maximise outcomes, whilst both instilling and developing a love for the subject. Creating learners who are motivated, happy and informed to lead a healthy, and active life through practicing the virtues needed to enhance their health and well-being. An interest in Basketball and/or Rugby would be an advantage along with a strong willingness to support the extensive co-curricular work of the department.
