Fostering and Adoption

Fostering and Adoption

Whatever your age, ethnicity or personal circumstances, fostering could be for you.

You don't have to own your home or be employed. The most important qualities we look for are that you have commitment, patience and the ability to share your life and home with children who need stability and security.

To find out more, or to apply to be a foster carer, go to our dedicated Fostering website

Adopt North East is the Regional Adoption Agency for the North East. It provides adoption services on behalf of Newcastle City Council, South Tyneside Council, Northumberland County Council, North Tyneside Council and Gateshead Council.

It works to find forever families for children and provides ongoing support to adoptive families, those adopted and those affected by adoption.
