Many junior football clubs in Newcastle are safely returning to training with measures in place to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Sports clubs throughout the country ceased all sessions at the onset of the lockdown. But more than three months on, juniors are now able to dust off their boots and shin pads and return to training.
Newcastle City Council has worked closely with a number of junior clubs in the city to help them implement new safety measures, while a suite of new Football Association guidelines is also helping shape the safe return for many clubs.
Parents and guardians are asked to contact clubs directly to find out if it safe for their children to return.
