Please be aware.
Researchers have discovered a coronavirus-related lure being used in a phishing campaign promising the receipt of a government-funded tax cut. The email claims to come from the UK ‘Government Digital Service Team’ and offers a tax rebate of £385.50. This rebate will supposedly be transferred directly to the recipient's credit or debit card. This scam is designed to steal recipients’ personal and financial information.
