Public sector apprenticeship target
Public sector apprenticeship target
From April 2017 to March 2022 the Government set an apprenticeship target for organisations:
- in the public sector
- with at least 250 staff
The target was to have, on average, each year:
- 2.3 percent of staff starting an apprenticeship
This target included both:
- newly employed apprentices
- existing staff that have begun an apprenticeship
Each year we had to report on our progress in meeting the target.
