Members of Parliament (MPs) are elected every few years at a UK parliamentary general election. Each MP serves in the House of Commons representing people living in a particular area (constituency).
Who your MPs are
Parliament has been dissolved and there are currently no MPs until after the general election on 4 July 2024.

Constituencies in Newcastle
Depending on where you live in Newcastle your vote will select the Member of Parliament (MP) for one of five areas:
- Cramlington and Killingworth
- Hexham
- Newcastle upon Tyne Central and West
- Newcastle upon Tyne East and Wallsend
- Newcastle upon Tyne North

If registered to vote you will receive a poll card in the run up to the election that will tell you:
- the constituency you will vote in
- which polling station to go to
You can also check which area you are in by:
- visiting elections in your area on the Electoral Commission
- calling 0191 278 7878 and asking for Electoral Services
