Reporting environmental issues via social media
We know a lot of our residents are on social media like Facebook and Twitter. There are also lots of residents groups on Facebook, WhatsApp and various other channels. We want to provide those who live, work and visit our city, with high quality neighbourhoods.
The best and most efficient way for residents to make reports about litter and bin issues is to use our online forms. You can upload a photo, enter the location and provide your details if you want to be able to track the job.
Service requests reported this way go directly to the crews or the relevant manager. For more details about how we deal with requests please look at our response times.
Did you know?
We often get tagged in photographs of street litter, but often there is no address or even a road name!
This means staff have to email back or try and contact the resident to find out where the issue is, which takes even longer.
