The Governors of Lemington Riverside Primary School wish to appoint an additional Attendance & Welfare Officer to join our skilled pastoral team. The Attendance & Welfare officer will work alongside the existing Pastoral Team and the Senior Leadership Team, Designated Safeguarding Lead and Administrative Team to promote and support excellent attendance across the school community and be the point of contact for our families when they need further support, signposting or guidance with a wide range of issues.
This post is suitable for a person with extensive experience of successfully working with families to overcome a wide array of barriers and an appropriate level of qualification. We are looking for an ambitious and meticulous team member who will go the extra mile for the benefit of the school community. The successful candidate will need to form excellent relationships with pupils, families and colleagues, built upon mutual trust and respect, and will be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
The appointed person will benefit from the support of a strong leadership team, an experienced governing body and a supportive community in a school that aims to be the focal point of the community that it serves.
The successful candidate will lead by example, setting high standards for themselves, the school and others. S/he will be experienced at supporting children and families, facing a wide variety of challenges, often complex. They must be able to think creatively and problem solve. They will have a positive outlook and will be excited at the prospect being a key player in our rapidly changing school. They will not be phased by difficult conversations, complex challenges and supporting children and families to overcome a wide range of barriers.
The successful candidate will:

The role is 30 hours a week, term-time only, plus three training days. The working hours will be 10:00am - 4:30pm Monday-Friday.
