About the Job
We are recruiting Business Support Officer’s to support Children’s Social Care, Planning and Supporting Economic Development Teams
Business Support provides an enabling service to all areas of Newcastle City Council. The Business Support teams are flexible and responsive and there will be opportunities to move between teams to gain experience of the services across the council.
The Candidate
You will be a team player who is enthusiastic and committed to providing an excellent customer focussed service. You will be working within a reactive team supporting one of the areas listed above.
You will have excellent communications skills, the ability to deal with challenging situations that may include vulnerable service users over the phone and handling sensitive information.
You should have the ability to multitask and deal with a high workload with changing priorities. It would be an advantage if you have previous experience of working with a case management system. You should be fully familiar with data protection and the use of MS Office / Office 365.
In your application you need to demonstrate that you meet the essential criteria listed in the person specification and give recent relevant examples of how you meet those criteria.
