Child Friendly Newcastle Lead

Ref:

CES109

Full time

£42,821 - £46,845 per annum

Newcastle is a great City, one that never stands still. We are a cosmopolitan city and our children and families reflect the diversity and vibrancy of our city. Despite the global challenges 2020 brought to us all, we have bold and exciting plans to improve our work with, and outcomes for, children, families and communities.

Building on our recent successes and supported through £3.1m funding from DfE’s Strengthening Families Protecting Children Programme (SFPC), we are adopting a relational approach to working with children and families. This is a whole system change across services for children, young people and families, whereby practitioners, teams and wider partnerships’ practice is shaped and informed by shared restorative language, culture, behaviours and ways of working.

If you are committed to working with children, young people and families and believe that doing so is at the heart of excellent services then we would like to hear from you.

To support our ambitious plans, we have an exciting opportunity for a Child Friendly Newcastle Lead to lead and drive the development of Newcastle’s work to become a child friendly city and to build our newly created voice and influence team. The successful applicant will play a key role with partners and children and young people in shaping the City.

To find out more about the role or arrange an informal discussion with Andy Graham please email Andrew.graham@newcastle.gov.uk
