£33,945 - £37,336 pro rata per annum. Actual salary £27,156 - £29,868 per annum

This is a fixed term post to cover the maternity leave of the post holder.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Museum professional to lead the development and implementation of collections information policies and procedures and support the effective management and rationalisation of museum collections across Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums (TWAM).

Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums manage nine venues and collections spanning a vast array of topics, including several designated collections.

Your role will be to work with museums and archives colleagues to ensure our collections information is up to date, easily accessible and used to best effect to ensure the best use of our collections in support of the communities we serve. You will play a part in streamlining our collections management processes including ensuring an effective rationalisation process is set in place.

You will have a strong understanding of collections management principles and processes and be committed to ensuring that our collections and the stories that they tell are used effectively for our audiences now and into the future.
