We require a Documentation Officer to join the team at Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Documentation team working to support our collections and development of our collections management database. Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums manage nine venues and collections spanning a vast array of topics, including several designated collections.
A key priority for this role will be the daily management and ongoing development of our collections management system EMu. The role is also heavily involved in the upkeep of our collections management and documentation procedures.
You should have strong database skills, good organisational skills and be a flexible, team player with experience of working in collections documentation. Good oral and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to deal with people at all levels in the organisation. You should be computer literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office 365 software packages, especially Sharepoint, Teams, Excel, Word and Outlook.
