Part time - term time

£24,294 - £25,119 per annum ( £11,010 -£11,384 per annum actual salary)

Children attend Bedeburn short break home to have a great experience whilst their families have a break from day to day care, enabling them to recharge their batteries and continue to provide high quality care and support for their children. This job is about helping children get to school on time and ready to learn whilst they are on breaks at Bedeburn.

We are looking for two driver/escorts for our short break home for children with disabilities and complex needs.

You will work together term time only for 20 hours per week driving and escorting children to and from school whilst they are on short breaks from home at Bedeburn.

Ideally you will have some experience of working with children with complex needs and disabilities, including those who use a wheelchair or will have transferrable skills from working with other vulnerable service users.

You will have a clean PCV license and experience of undertaking required safety checks as well as being committed to keeping vehicles clean and ready for use.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to build and sustain relationships with children, their families, Bedeburn staff and staff in schools.
