NCC’s Garden Care Service offers a maintenance programme to Newcastle City Council tenants so they can enjoy their own gardens all year round.

We are looking for gardeners who are committed to customer care and take pride in their work. The role is fast paced, particularly in the summer months, going from garden to garden every day in all weather conditions.

The job will include:

<ul>

<li>grass cutting,</li>

<li>hedge trimming,</li>

<li>weed control,</li>

<li>pruning,</li>

<li>border maintenance</li>

<li>litter picking, throughout the whole Newcastle area.</li>

</ul>

You will be provided the power tools and work vehicle for the job, and it will include heavy lifting work.

The majority of our customers are considered vulnerable, so the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of customers from various backgrounds is essential.

What you&rsquo;ll need for the job:

<li>Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment</li>

<li>A love for working outdoors in all weather conditions</li>

<li>NVQ Level 2 Amenity Horticulture qualification (or equivalent) or can demonstrate relevant experience.</li>
