We have an exciting opportunity for six motivated, hardworking and flexible individuals to join our Community Reablement Team as Night time Health and Social Care Officers. Our service is a personalised, short-term service in the person’s own home, providing support to enable people to recover after a hospital admission or prevent a stay in hospital. Staff work with people in their own homes across the City of Newcastle to help build their confidence and regain skills they need to continue to live there.
You must be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting independence, health, wellbeing, and choice to those who use our services. Maintaining the dignity of people must always be a priority and successful applicants must be able to deliver care and support with great sensitivity.
These posts do not require specific experience or professional qualifications. What they really need is your caring approach, your patience, and your commitment to making a real difference to people’s lives. You may already be providing similar services for friends or relatives of your own. Then why not make a career of it? A three-month induction programme would commence once appointed.
You need to be able to deliver personal care with great sensitivity and to demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting the independence, choice, and dignity of all adults.
Being able to work night shift, weekends and split shifts on a rota basis is essential.
You must be available to work a six-week rota pattern of two-night shifts per week inclusive of weekend working.
Licenced car drivers are essential-You would have access to our insured pool vans from the Reablement base to use throughout your shift
