Together we are Newcastle. Our vision is a thriving city where everyone can fulfil their potential, lead healthy and happy lives, and build inclusive social and economic opportunities for all. We are a welcoming, caring city, working closely together in partnership to deliver better outcomes for our communities.

As a key enabling service, ICT and Digital Transformation aims to provide a secure, high-performing digital IT service to all our customers, enabling them to deliver, innovate and transform.

To help us deliver this, we are seeking to recruit 3 x ICT Analysts to provide high quality, customer focused ICT support either face to face or virtually.

You will need to have demonstrable technical knowledge alongside the ability to make decisions independently to implement fixes and solutions; looking to resolve issues at first point of contact where possible. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines, on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

While your contractual work location will be Civic Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne, initially these roles will support a range of diverse education settings across the local area with a likely need to attend different locations. This can be discussed further on request or at interview.

The person specification which forms part of this recruitment outlines the key skills and experience we require to be successful in this role; please ensure you can demonstrate this on your application form.

We are committed to protecting and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. This post is working in regulated activity. If you are successful we will undertake additional recruitment checks which will include a check to see if you have had any criminal convictions, a check of police information and we will check the barred list(s). It is a criminal offence for a barred individual to apply for a job in regulated activity.

Apply online at www.northeastjobs.org.uk, select 'Apply Now' and complete our online application form. Any communication sent to you regarding your application will be sent to the email address you have set up on your Northeast Jobs account, so you will need to ensure that you check your inbox.
