£43,421 - £46,464 per annum, pro rata (£21,710 - £23,232 actual salary for 18.5 hrs)

2 posts - 37 hours per week and 18.5 hours per week.

We require two experienced Occupational Therapists with specifically major adaptations and specialist equipment experience. Must have worked within an Occupational Therapist role for a minimum of 2 years.

The work is varied with involvement in everything from assessing for and prescribing equipment and minor adaptations through to major adaptations and manual handling assessments and recommendations. This is a chance to develop skills as an Occupational Therapist as we have great peer support and a learning environment.

We are looking for motivated practitioners who are interested in working in adult social care to support residents of Newcastle to live in the community in their safest most independent way and needs to be Therapists who likes variety in their working day and strive to do their best for the people they are working with.

The Occupational Therapy service consists of qualified and unqualified staff and is very supportive including clinical supervision. We offer regular CPD opportunities, including external training. We have good links with our social work and health colleagues. This is an exciting time for Occupational Therapy as we reorganise and look forward to the future.

You should have a relevant Occupational Therapy qualification such as a Degree in Occupational Therapy, or a Diploma in Occupational Therapy, and must have current HCPC registration. Both NHS and social care experience would be desirable.
