The Governors of Gosforth Park First School wish to appoint a part time Playground Activities Leader Level 2 (N3) from September 2024 or sooner if available. This post is initially a fixed term contract from 3rd September 2024 until 22nd December 2024, term time only.

This post is suitable for either experienced or newly qualified Support Assistants.
Candidates should have the following:

Qualifications:
Good numeracy/literacy skills with GCSE or equivalent qualifications at Level 2.
Experience:
Working with First School aged children.
Gosforth Park First School is strongly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to obtain an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and a range of other recruitment checks.
As this post involves working with children, vulnerable adults or dealing with sensitive information, written references will be taken up and made available to interviewers before the final selection stage; even if you indicate otherwise.
As part of the shortlisting process, we may be carrying out an online search as part of our due diligence on the shortlisted candidates. This may help identify any incidents or issues that have happened, and are publicly available online, which we may want to explore with the applicant at interview.

We will be shortlisting successful candidates from Tuesday 4th June and contacting these candidates to inform them about the interview process and any associated tasks by Friday 7th June.
Interviews will take place on Friday 14 June. The process will involve observations of group work with children with pupils in our school and a formal interview.
