*£22,737 per annum, pro rata
*This post attracts the Real Living Wage supplement. In addition to the hourly rate, this post will receive the Real Living Wage supplement to bring the hourly rate up to a minimum of £12.00 per hour.
Newcastle City Council have a vacancy for a School Crossing Patrol officer in the NE15 area of the City. Armstrong Road, outside of Atkinson Road Primary Academy and St Josephs Primary School

We are looking for a School Crossing Patrol Officer who can guide our community’s most precious treasures - our children - safely across the road. Join us is playing a critical role in our children’s everyday adventures!
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Be a friendly face that helps children and parent safely navigate the crossing</li>
<li>Work hand-in-hand with schools to ensure our little pedestrians are safe and sound</li>
<li>Keep a keen eye out for any incidents or issues on the crossing</li>
<li>Maintain high visibility - you’re not just an officer, you’re a beacon on safety!</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>You’re a people person, great at communicating and making people feel at ease</li>
<li>You’re calm and patient</li>
<li>A valid DBS check or the ability/permission to obtain one</li>
<li>Experience in a similar role or traffic management is a bonus, but not essential.</li>
<li>Dedication and safety are a must!</li>
</ul>
