The Transport team are committed to delivering services that will help Newcastle develop into the UK’s safest, most accessible, and best integrated multi modal carbon efficient transport system thereby ensuring the future economic growth of the city.

We have excellent expertise across the Transport division and are committed to delivering resilient, customer focused and high-quality services.

The Role

The successful post holder will be accountable for the service performance, financial management and professional management of the Engineering Consultancy Services which consists of: -

<li>Highway Design</li>

<li>Flood Risk Management</li>

<li>Traffic Management and Road Safety</li>

<li>Structures</li>

<li>Asset Management</li>

<li>Contract Monitoring</li>

<li>School Crossing Patrols</li>

<li>Programme and Project Management.</li>

</ul>

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading the delivery of direct services and providing clear, professional advice and rationale within a political environment as well as leading, developing, and empowering staff to support their personal achievement and contribution to the Council&rsquo;s and service objectives.
