Newcastle City Council is looking to appoint two student planners on a one-year fixed term contract to support the delivery of its planning service. The post-holders will be working in our multi-disciplinary team on a range of projects to enable you to gain experience in both development management and planning policy and to assist with the the digitisation of the city planning service.

Applicants must be working towards a degree or post-graduate qualification relevant to urban planning. At interview you will be required to demonstrate an understanding of planning legislation and how you have good communication skills, with the ability to identify solutions to solve problems, as well as having experience in collaborative working to flexible timescales.
