Fixed term in the first instance (26th February 2024 until 31st August 2024) with the view to be made permanent if this is the correct fit for the candidate and for the school.
The governors wish to appoint a creative, hard working and child-centred Teaching Assistant to come and work in our wonderful school.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate their commitment to working as part of an effective and cohesive team who all want the very best for our children and families.
As with all members of staff at South Gosforth First School, the successful candidate will actively endorse and deliver the vision of our school, which is centred around giving our pupils ‘Roots to Grow and Wings to Fly’, as well as supporting our curriculum drivers: Character - What kind of people we are, Culture - How we learn about the world and all of the people who live in it, Creativity - How we use our imaginations and Challenge - How we make ourselves better every day.

South Gosforth First School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to obtain an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the DBS and be successful in relation to a range of other recruitment checks.
Under normal circumstances, candidates are encouraged to visit the school by arrangement, however this is not compulsory and applications will still be accepted from candidates who aren’t able to attend a visit to school in advance.
