Street Trading Licence
Street Trading Licence
Street trading is prohibited in the city centre beyond those traders already licensed. Restrictions also exist in Shields Road, High Heaton and Kingston Park Shopping Centre.
Officers patrol these areas to ensure that licences are complied with and illegal traders are prosecuted. Under the City of Newcastle upon Tyne Act 2000, illegal traders may have their goods and stalls seized and destroyed.
Peddling of goods (selling whilst on the move) is not permitted in these prohibited trading areas.
