Clearways

A Clearway is in operation 24 hours a day. Motorists are not permitted to stop at any time, not even to pick up or set down passengers.

The Clearway will have the following sign in place and will also have repeater signs at regular intervals:

No stopping of motor vehicles applies only to the main carriage way. If there is a lay by, this can be used instead to stop in, providing there are no signs to say otherwise.  

Disabled Blue Badge holders are not permitted to park on a Clearway.

If a vehicle is parked on a Clearway a Civil Enforcement Officer (CEO) will issue a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) to the vehicle.
