Covid-19: Covid Compliant - Terms and conditions

  1. The Covid Compliant Assurance Scheme is owned and operated by Newcastle City Council; all materials associated with the Scheme shall remain so including the logo, sticker, certificate and all marketing materials, artwork and associated promotional literature.
  2. You grant permission to Newcastle City Council to use your stated business name & logo and address as supplied by you at the time of application within promotional material including publication on our website.
  3. In the unlikely event you decide to withdraw from the Scheme you undertake to remove any and all Scheme materials and either return them to the Council or destroy them.
  4. Newcastle City Council reserves the right to remove Scheme materials from the business either temporarily or permanently in the event of non-compliance, including the City Council website and/or other promotional materials.  
  5. The Award is made solely to the business name and address as provided in the application form and is not transferable.
  6. Authorised officers of the Authority will undertake unannounced compliance monitoring visits.
  7. In the event you apply to the Scheme but do not sufficiently meet the standard, Newcastle City Council will to work with you to address identified deficiencies.
  8. Whilst the final decision to award rests with Newcastle City Council, we will provide you with a right of reply.
  9. Information submitted is subject to Freedom of Information should such request(s) be made.
  10. Privacy Statement: Public Safety & Regulation will use the details provided by you at the time of your application to contact you about the business and any matter regarding the Assurance Scheme for as long as the Scheme is in operation or until you notify us that you are no longer associated with the business. We will hold this information in a secure way. To properly administer the Assurance Scheme, we may share your information within Newcastle City Council. We will not retain your contact details any longer than is necessary for the purposes of administering the Assurance Scheme.
