Car Park Season Tickets - Terms and Conditions of Use
Parking permits issued by Newcastle City Council are issued subject to terms and conditions of use, which permits holders should ensure that they are familiar with.

Terms and Conditions
- Season Ticket permits must only be used within the car park named on the parking permit.
- Gold, Emerald, Diamond, and Platinum Season Ticket permits must only be used in the designated permit bays for that Season Ticket type located within the named car park where available and if not available, in any ordinary bay within the named car park. If the vehicle is an electric vehicle, the permit may also be used within an electric vehicle charging bay whilst actively charging. If the Season Ticket is being used by a disabled badge holder, the Season Ticket holder may park in a disabled parking bay provided that the Season Ticket is valid and the disabled badge is clearly displayed.
- Ruby Season Ticket permits must only be used in the marked bay allocated to the permit holder as this is a dedicated bay for their use.
- Ruby Season Ticket permits do not allow the permit holder access to the designated car park during the hours the car park is closed[SJ1] [RL2] or when the car park is closed due to an event or maintenance. - Gold, Emerald, Diamond, Ruby and Platinum Season Ticket permits do not provide an exemption to park in any parking spaces which may have been temporarily suspended from use.
- Season Ticket permits showing a registration(s) number may only be used on the vehicle(s) with that number.
- If a physical permit has been issued, the permit must be displayed prominently on the dashboard/front windscreen of the vehicle so that all of the particulars on it are visible from the outside of the vehicle.
- Whilst the vehicle is in the parking place it must not be used in conjunction with selling or offering for hire of any service.
- Physical Season Ticket permits will only be issued through the post to the address submitted on the application.
- All vehicles using Season Ticket permits must be parked in accordance with the “City of Newcastle-upon-Tyne (Off- Street Parking Places) Order 2021” as from time may be amended, extended re-enacted or replaced.
- Misuse of a Season Ticket permit, forging or possessing a forged permit or making a false statement for the issue of a permit are all offences which may carry a substantial fine.
- The use of a Season Ticket parking permit does not render the Council subject to any liability in respect of theft or, or damage to any vehicle in a parking place, or the contents or fittings of any such vehicle.
- If a change of vehicle registration is required on a physical permit a charge of £10.00 may be applied for amending a vehicle registration on a permit.
- A charge of £10.00 may be applied to replace lost or stolen physical permits and a Lost Permit Application form is required to be submitted to the Council.
- An administration charge of £25.00 may be applied in relation to the cancellation of a parking permit and refunds will be processed on a pro rata basis, calculated based on the number of full weeks remaining unused.
- Permits paid via invoice; if payment is not made by the invoice due date, the Council reserve the right to revoke the permit and request its immediate return. The Council may take action to recover any outstanding payment.
- Where Gold, Emerald, Diamond, Ruby and Platinum Season Ticket parking permits are not renewed upon expiry, we may accept and process applications from other applicants on a waiting list which may then impact on any late application being accepted from you if the capped limit for that car park has since been reached.
