Search for a Building Regulation Application
Search for a Building Regulation Application
The Public Access Register can be used to search building regulation applications, initial notices and competent person notifications deposited since 1 April 2005 in the City of Newcastle upon Tyne. Records older that this date are not held.
The Register will confirm the ‘decision status’ of applications and notices.
To check if a completion certificate was issued for building regulations application:
- Completion date between 1 April 2005 and 23 May 2020
If the decision status is ‘Building Work Complete’, then a completion certificate should previously have been issued.
- Completion date from 24 May 2020 onwards.
If decision status is ‘Building Work Complete Certificate Issued’, this confirms that a completion certificate was issued at the time.
If the current property owner no longer holds a copy of the building regulations notice of passing of plans or completion certificate, Building Control may be able to redraft and reissue this if our review of records confirms that these documents were issued previously. A charge for this service will apply.
To search the online Public Access Register, you will need to create a user login ID on your first time of use. Your user ID can be used on all subsequent searches of the Register.
