If your child has:

  • symptoms of Covid-19
  • symptoms of an illness affecting their breathing or lungs (a respiratory infection)
  • tested positive for Covid-19

What schools must do

During the Covid-19 pandemic schools have had to take steps to keep pupils safe and support families.

Many of these requirements have since been removed.

For example, schools no longer need to provide children who are isolating with:

  • free school meals
  • remote learning
