Season Ticket Permit Bays (formerly City Park)

Newcastle Council offer Season Ticket (previously known as City Park Permits) for frequent users who want a guaranteed space within a particular car park. Season Tickets parking bays are available within off street car parks and multi storey car parks.

The Season Tickets became operational on 1^st July and replaced the previous Gold, Gold Plus and Platinum permits customers may have used in the past.

 A parking space is guaranteed for the Season Ticket holder as we only issue permits for the amount of Season Ticket bays within the car parks.

Generally, the permit bays in off street car parks are located in a line together and in multi storey car parks the permit bays will be situated together on one or more levels. 

If the bays are all on one level, the pay and display machine on that level will be covered with a hood; each bay will also have a permit only sign displayed.

If there are only a small number of bays on one level, the permit bays will be marked with a sign in each bay advising it has been reserved for permit holders.

The Season Ticket bays will be marked with a sign in each bay advising it has been reserved for Season Ticket holders.

There are 3 types of Season Tickets:

Gold Season Ticket Permits

In off street car parks such as Morden Street or St Georges the Gold Season Ticket is in operation Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 7.00 pm.

Within the Argyle Street and Claremont Road car parks the Gold Season Ticket is in operation Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm.   

In multi storey car parks such as Eldon Gardens and Dean Street the Gold Season Ticket is in operation Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 7.00 pm

Within the Manors and Quayside multi storey car parks the Gold Season Ticket is in operation Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 6.00 pm.

Within the NUFC Stadium car park the Gold Season Ticket is in operation Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 10.00 pm.

Emerald Season Ticket

In off street car parks such as Morden Street or St Georges, the Emerald Season Ticket is in operation Monday to Saturday from 8.00 am to 7.00 pm.

Within Argyle Street and Claremont Road car parks the Emerald Season Ticket is in operation Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 6.00 pm.

In multi storey car parks such as Eldon Gardens and Dean Street the Emerald Season Ticket is in operation Monday to Saturday from 8.00 am to 7.00 pm.

Within the NUFC Stadium car park the Emerald Season Ticket is in operation Monday to Saturday from 8.00 am to 10.00 pm.

Within Manors and Quayside multi storey car parks Gold Season Tickets are in operation Monday to Saturday 8.00 am to 6.00 pm.

Diamond Season Tickets

A Diamond Season Ticket is in operation 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Platinum Permit sign

Platinum Permits

A Platinum Season Ticket is in operation 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Platinum Season Tickets are issued in the Grainger Town, The Garage at The Helix and Quayside multi storey car parks.  These Season Ticket permits are issued to companies who have a lease on the multi storey car park.

The renewal of all current Season Ticket permits will need to be made on-line.  

All new applications for Season Ticket permits would need to be made by completing the on-line application form.

In some exceptional circumstances when an application cannot be made on-line to either renew or make a new application for a Season Ticket a paper application form can be completed instead. 

A request would need to be made by telephone on 0191 277 2728 between 10.00 am to 12.00 noon and 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm Monday to Friday.

 

Season Ticket permits can be issued either virtually or a paper permit. If a paper permit has been issued this will need to be displayed on the front of the vehicle, either on the dashboard or a fixed to the windscreen so that all of the details on the Season Ticket permit are clearly visible.

 The Season Ticket is only valid to use in the bay and car park it has been issued for. If a Season Ticket Holder is unable to find a marked permit bay with the type of permit they hold, we advise them to contact the Customer Response Team on 0191 278 7799 and ask for guidance.

 Outside of the times on the Season Ticket permit signs, the bays can be used as charged parking bays.  Please check the tariff board which are situated throughout the car park to confirm charging periods and rate required to be paid.

 At all times motorists are reminded that they will need to park their vehicle within the marked white lines of the bay.  If the wheels are over the white lines a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) will be issued by a Civil Enforcement Officer (CEO) for not being wholly in a bay.

If a vehicle parks in a Season Ticket permit bay without having the correct Season Ticket during the times of operation a CEO will issue a PCN for a vehicle being parked in a permit bay without a valid permit.

If a vehicle is parked in a Season Ticket permit bay with a pay and display ticket on display a CEO will issue a PCN for a vehicle being parked in a permit bay without a permit. 

If a vehicle is parked in a Season Ticket permit bay displaying a Disabled Blue Badge a PCN will be issued by a CEO for a vehicle being parked without a valid permit.
