Brownfield Land Register

The Brownfield Land Register is a register of brownfield land which is suitable, available and achievable for housing development. The register has been introduced to support the government’s ambitions to promote development of suitable brownfield sites.

The interactive map of brownfield sites has been embedded into the Brownfield Land Register 2025 and is intended to be read in conjunction with the Brownfield Sites list, which is attached as a separate CSV file in accordance with the government's data standards for Brownfield Land Registers.

The list of sites included in the register was last updated on 17 December 2025.
