Development and Allocations Plan (DAP) Examination in Public

The Development and Allocations Plan (DAP) was submitted to the Secretary of State for examination on 13 March 2019. The DAP was examined in 2019 and public consultation on the Main Modifications took place between December 2019 and February 2020.

Adoption of the Development and Allocations Plan (DAP)

Following Council approval, Newcastle City Council formally adopted the Development and Allocations Plan (DAP) on 24 June 2020. A copy of the adopted DAP and other supporting documents are available at Development and Allocations Plan

Planning Inspector

The Secretary of State appointed Joanna Gilbert MA (Hons) MTP MRTPI to conduct the examination. The examination hearings took place between 1 July 2019 and 12 July 2019, these were held at the Old Library Building, Newcastle University, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 7RU.

Programme Officer
