Climate summits

Youth Climate Change Summit

Our Youth Climate Change Summit, planned for Thursday 28 and Friday 29 October 2021, has been postponed to a later date.

Details of the rearranged summit, for 14 to 18 year olds, who live or go to school in the city, will be announced in due course.

Student Climate Change Summit

A climate change summit for students will be held from November 8 to 10 at Newcastle Civic Centre and Newcastle University.

Newcastle Student Climate Change Summit & Net Zero Innovation Challenge

The Net Zero Student Innovation Challenge (March 1 to 5 2021) also invited students of Newcastle and Northumbria Universities to take part in a five day project, to develop bold ideas that have the potential for meaningful impact and that can be successfully implemented in Newcastle - The brief given to challenge participants can be viewed here.
