Who we are
Newcastle Futures help unemployed and underemployed residents of Newcastle upon Tyne, aged 18 and over to find work and training, and progress in their careers. Since 2007, our friendly, person-centred team of employment advisers have helped over 8,000 people into employment and training.
We provide 1 to 1 personal employment support in community venues across the city, and online via video, telephone, and other digital platforms. We put our customers at the heart of everything we do, helping them to identify and work towards their career goals at a pace that suits them.
We work in partnership with many organisations to make sure our customers have access to opportunities to simplify their journey into work. We care about making a positive difference, and motivating and empowering our customers to be the best they can be. We respect and value our customers and we look forward to supporting more residents into employment.

Create a winning CV and cover letter
It doesn’t matter if you have a CV and cover letter or not, we can work together to sell your skills and achievements to employers to help you gain job interviews. Whether you have never worked before, you are a graduate or you want a career change, we will show you how to format your CV and cover letter and tailor them to a specific industry or job.
Identify your transferable skills
Working out what you’re good at can be difficult, we can work together to reflect on your experiences and identify your strengths. Knowing yourself and what you are good at can help you to find an opportunity that suits you and can help you to ace your job application and interview!
Find vacancies
Looking for jobs, apprenticeships and volunteering can be stressful and challenging, lots of websites are out there that could help. We have many tips and suggestions to share with you, to help you find the job you want.
Write job applications that will impress employers
Job applications can be confusing and stressful, they require time and effort. Let us help you to stand out from the crowd! We will work with you to effectively sell your abilities, experience, and skills in your application to gain job interviews.
Prepare for and ace job interviews
Face to face in-person job interviews are not always the case; you may have a video interview or a telephone interview. Whatever the format, let us help you to prepare and ace your interview. From questions and answers to mock interviews, to helping you to decide what to wear, we have it covered.
Find training courses and develop your skills
We will help you to find training and funding that suits your needs, to help you to move closer to the job you want.

LinkedIn can be a confusing and overwhelming platform. We will help you to build an eye-catching profile and look for jobs using the platform.
